What our friends say about Pino di Loto.

We stayed 9 nights in early September and even now, two months later, I still think about this holiday so much – the experience has really stayed with me.
As others have said, what makes this place so special is its personal service. It’s full of lovely attention to detail and special touches. The accommodation is, of course, very comfortable and its position, swimming pool and sunsets all spectacular, but it’s the people running Pino di Loto that makes it stand out from the crowd.
Terezdina is just wonderful in every respect – fun, friendly, keen to help and full of good ideas – she cannot do enough to help and she defines everything that is great about Pino di Loto. Christos is also a real asset to this property, a gentleman who was always on hand to help.
We loved our long, leisurely breakfasts (served till midday no less) and the fact that Terezdina was always there to guide us on our plans for the day ahead – things to do and things to avoid. She arranged taxis, restaurants, lent us parasols for the beach – she does it all! Every time we followed her advice we were happy we did! We still talk about her and reminisce about our amazing nine days. Let’s hope we can return one day.
I highly recommend a stay here – the warmth of the hospitality is impossible to beat! Thank you, Terezdina, and good luck with your exciting plans for next year.

I can’t recommend Pino di Loto highly enough. An idyllic place to stay, it thoroughly deserves its glowing reviews. 10 minutes’ walk uphill from the village and beach of Kini, it offers perfect rest and relaxation with a lovely pool, sea view and charming hosts. From the moment you arrive, Marinos, Mary and Terezdina Rigouzzo make you feel welcome and part of the family. They speak good French and English and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them over a drink at the bar as the sun went down over a spectacular landscape. The apartments are spacious and comfortable and the shower rooms are stocked with lovely Korres shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. A bottle of white wine was also waiting for us – all on the house. The family go out of their way to ensure you have a good time and can arrange activities to suit your needs. Twice we went walking to deserted beaches and Christos, who works at the bar, happily packed up pastries, cakes and water for us to take for fortification. Terezdina also arranged for my son to go scuba diving twice with a local diver, Nikos, which was a highlight of our stay. The breakfasts were superb with hot pastries, cakes, local jams, cheeses, ham, yogurt, fruit and liberal quantities of freshly squeezed orange juice. Eating out in the evening was a delight. Kini is well equipped with good restaurants overlooking the beach – including the renowned ALLOU-YIALOU restaurant, which is right on the water and reckoned to be one of the best restaurants in Syros. We didn’t hire a car for our six-day stay here but had no problem getting around by foot and took a taxi to the beautiful city of Hermoupolis (10 Euros each way in May). May was a lovely time to visit with very few tourists. All in all a heavenly trip.
